This is a pretty half-circular Irish crochet motif.
This link will take you to this lovely motif. The instructions are in Russian, but there are some pretty good photos to follow.
My sample looks lime this so far:
I have had to do some ripping and re-crocheting. But all in all, this is a pretty and dainty little motif.
You can also just make it into a round motif. Just be sure to add more stitching into your original ring.
Good luck and have fun with this! :)
The Russians are really into crochet lace design if the number of photos I see on Pinterest are any indication. Thank goodness for symbol charts! This is a lovely motif. Might give it a try just to see if I can make it from photos and charts. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Patrice, I agree...thank goodness for the charts! I would be lost without them. I've found that their sc st is a little different from other sc stitches on charts. We have it as an "x" and theirs is a little bitty solid "square.". Otherwise, I've found the symbols to be the same. Thanksvfor visiting! :)
