Carnivorous Pitcher Plant

Hello, everyone:

I have a carnivorous plant which has had its ups and downs since last spring but it did survive two of our winter freezes.  I forgot to bring it indoors those two times out of our 33 freezes.

As soon as I saw new leaves (pitchers), there was this stalk with a bud which grew.   I didn't know this made a flower.    I have never owned or seen one of these plants until last year and this is the only one I have so far.   I want to find another or propagate this one when it is bigger.

These can be tricky to make, but manageable.  I've made the grey colored one before and it was a blast, once I got the hang of it.

The charts which go with these are on the above weblink, next to the flower you want to make.



I haven't used yarn to make one of these, but I imagine that a nice (non-fuzzy) yarn would work up well in one of these patterns.   :)
