Momma dove and babies

 

Tuesday, May 13, 2014:

Standing in the doorway of the workshop I resisted the urge to touch momma dove's tail; the nest was so close!

.....I was sorely tempted but I didn't want to frighten her.   

A dove makes a nest here year after year.   Momma dove has her two babies close to her in the pictures!

Thursday, May 15, 2014:

The baby doves flew off yesterday!   Daddy dove was helping momma dove and to teach them how to fly.   

This is the second time I have seen this process and it is always a neat thing to witness!    :). :)
